I think I'm getting all Twixt'ed out. I've probably played more games of Twixt in the past week or so than I ever did before rediscovering the game.

My meandering path to this site began when I took my son to a gaming store thinking they had trading card game supplies (Pokemon), but finding that they were a D&D kind of store that also had a bunch of classic strategy games.  It brought back memories, and I remembered the game of Twixt that my best friend had back when I was about 13.  We only played it a few times, but he got bored and I forgot all about it.

My son is 13 now, and I was trying to describe the game to him.  I wound up looking online to see if I could still buy it, and found it was out of print but could be bought on eBay.  I looked the game history up on Wikipedia, which had a link to this site.  Voila!  No need to buy the game.  I can play online and show my son.

I've enjoyed playing against Mark and riviolet, but I sure wish there was a more vibrant community.  I like to chat (can't you tell?) and "talk" across the board.  If I drift away, I'll keep the site bookmarked and come back when I have the urge again.  I gotta say thanks to Mark for creating the site.  It's been fun.

/Bob

It would be nice to be able to send messages to people who have played in the past, offering to play again.

I've played Twixt for years but I've just discovered its online life.

If you ever want to play, email me at yakcalvin@gmail.com and let's set it up.

Hi all, I had TwixT as a kid and found this forum.  Willing to play anyone and recreate the memories.

Could you tell me how to change the difficulty level of a game to a harder level than "easy"? Thank you very much.

New guy here. I can't seem to start a new post, but would like to play someone other than this computer, which isn't very smart at the game.

Decent game but it's tough to find anyone these days who plays board games at all.

OK, figured it out. Now I just have to find someone who wants to play.
