I just wanted to ask, if anyone knows what the best first move in TwixT is. Is it to put a stone in the centre?

If you are white in chess, the best first move is e4 or d4. Is there also a best first move in Twixt?

This site doesn't currently support the pie rule, which allows the second player to swap sides after the first move. The center is a very strong move, so the second player would typically swap.
