The most important thing to be aware of is that playing here is not like sitting down and playing a game "live." In most cases, your opponent will not respond to your move for several hours, at best. TwixTlive players are scattered around the world and timezone differences often preclude an immediate response.

Most players here make only a move or two per day. Some more. Some less.

Please note that the Comments field is frequently used by a player starting a game to name the player they wish to play. If you are not that player, please do not take the game.

Although there are two "Timeout" options (2 min and 20 min), most games are played without a timeout. This is because "timeout games" are only feasible if the two players have somehow arranged (using either the Chat Box or separate email) to be online at the same time.

Lastly, should you tire of playing here, please resign all your active games. If you do not, you will leave your opponent(s) with a game that cannot be removed from their games in progress list.

Thx Bob440 - my dad has this game before I was born. I’m now 51 and have been playing the real game for many years. I started the next generation playing the game who like to take me on, but I’m glad to find people around the world who gave at least heard of the game let alone play. I’m in South Africa.
