We all know setup moves from the directions on the box of Twixt. I know a tilt, a beam, a coign, a mesh. Alan Hensel let me know a 5-2 was a bastard. Are there other combinations that are named in the game of Twixt? Would love to know, and appreciate any input.

I second that motion and would like to know standard terminalogy for the combinations.
I currently refer to them by their coordinates, like he mentioned a 5-2 combination.

Unlike Chess, there is no established convention other than what was on the box.

Some players who have been around awhile have submitted some names to the Twixt wiki found here:  http://twixt.wikifoundry.com/page/Naming+Board+Elements+and+Peg+Structures
I heartily recommend that anyone interested in the game to review the information available from the pages available at this site.  Alan and KD and others have provided much valuable analysis here and I have added my own small contribution.
